Hillside Kennels Animal Control shared an update on their Facebook page on April 22nd.

– The cat was discovered when Matt went for a 10k run on April 21.

The organization responsible for animal control reported that a man was traveling along Mile Hill Road in Paris when he spotted a bag on the edge of the road.

– When he approached, he observed a feline inside the tote.

He contacted the rescue team and remained with the cat for 25 minutes, providing solace, until the animal control personnel showed up.

– According to Hillside, the cat was found restrained within two distinct grocery bags, rendering him unable to move his legs or feet.

They claimed that he was abandoned to his fate.

The secret was revealed as the cat was rescued from the bag. According to the rescue organization, the cat did not have a microchip, indicating that he is approximately one year old.

– The cat has been in the rescue shelter for four days now. If nobody steps up to claim ownership, he will be transferred to a cat rescue center in Toronto for examination and potential adoption.
